Vietnam has a large and underdeveloped ICT market in which the U.S. plays a minor role. Even though the ICT market in Vietnam is in its infancy, it offers tremendous potential for U.S. suppliers. It is one of the fastest growing sectors in the world. The density of fixed phones jumped ten-fold in the 1990s and continues to grow.
This briefing was part of an orientation visit organized by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency to help U.S. suppliers and consultants in the information and communications technology industry offer their products and services to the Vietnamese ICT officials.
