Port of Kamsar: USTDA co-funded a feasibility study on expanding the Port of Kamsar. The expanded facility would accommodate traffic loads going to and from a developing bauxite/alumina mining operation being developed in the interior of the country. The feasibility study has been completed and the project sponsors have moved forward with additional planning studies related to developments at the port of Kamsar. The port project itself could be contingent upon the overall bauxite/alumina project(s) moving forward.
Guinea Bauxite Company (CBG) is the majority state-owned bauxite company in Guinea.
