Mindelo Transshipment Port: Cape Verde’s location could give the island the advantage of being selected as a major transshipment point for shipping lines operating in Sub-Saharan Africa and in the Mediterranean region. USTDA is currently funding a feasibility study of a new transshipment port complex, possibly to be constructed at Mindelo. The study should be completed by the time of the orientation visit.
Port of Praia: Plans have been developed for the expansion and modernization of the port of Praia. The project has been highlighted for World Bank and other bi/multilateral donor funding
